DEFINITION OF PROSE
Prose is one of
literature genres which form is written expression without a formal pattern of
verse or meter (as opposed to poetry). Prose lacks the more formal
metrical structure of verse that is almost always found in traditional poetry.
Prose consists of sentences which then constitute paragraph, rather than the individual lines and stanza as it is
in poetry. The most distinguished prose than poetry especially by its greater
irregularity and variety of rhythm. The main point of prose is just content, no
rule to create it. Therefore, prose is also called free
style of writing. The examples of prose are novels,
essays, short stories, and works
of criticism.
